چکیده
We analyze a finite element/boundary element procedure for non-convex contact problem the double–well potential. After relaxing associated functional, degenerate minimization is reduced to boundary/domain variational inequality, discretized saddle point formulation of which may then be solved numerically. The convergence Galerkin approximations certain macroscopic quantities and corresponding posteriori estimate approximation error are discussed. Numerical results illustrate performance proposed method.

Adaptive FE–BE Coupling for Strongly Nonlinear Transmission Problems with Friction II
This article discusses the well-posedness and error analysis of the coupling of finite and boundary elements for transmission or contact problems in nonlinear elasticity. It concerns “pseudoplastic”, p–Laplacian-type Hencky materials with an unbounded stress–strain relation, as they arise in the modelling of ice sheets, non-Newtonian fluids or porous media. For 1 < p < 2 the bilinear form of th...
متن کاملMultiple solutions for a perturbed Navier boundary value problem involving the $p$-biharmonic
The aim of this article is to establish the existence of at least three solutions for a perturbed $p$-biharmonic equation depending on two real parameters. The approach is based on variational methods.
متن کاملInfinitely Many Solutions for a Steklov Problem Involving the p(x)-Laplacian Operator
By using variational methods and critical point theory for smooth functionals defined on a reflexive Banach space, we establish the existence of infinitely many weak solutions for a Steklov problem involving the p(x)-Laplacian depending on two parameters. We also give some corollaries and applicable examples to illustrate the obtained result../files/site1/files/42/4Abstract.pdf
متن کاملCoupled BE-FE Scheme for Three-Dimensional Dynamic Interaction of a Transversely Isotropic Half-Space with a Flexible Structure
The response of structures bonded to the surface of a transversely isotropic half-space (TIHS) under the effect of time-harmonic forces is investigated using a coupled FE-BE scheme. To achieve this end, a Finite Element program has been developed for frequency domain analysis of 3D structures, as the first step. The half-space underlying the structure is taken into consideration using a Boundar...
متن کاملInverse problem for Sturm-Liouville operators with a transmission and parameter dependent boundary conditions
In this manuscript, we consider the inverse problem for non self-adjoint Sturm--Liouville operator $-D^2+q$ with eigenparameter dependent boundary and discontinuity conditions inside a finite closed interval. We prove by defining a new Hilbert space and using spectral data of a kind, the potential function can be uniquely determined by a set of value of eigenfunctions at an interior point and p...
